Youth Ministry

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the leadership at Pine Valley Bible Church, I want you to know how honored and humbled we are to have your youth as part of our faith community; honored because you have entrusted to us matters in the spiritual development of your sons and daughters, humbled because God has called us to this very task.

As we accept this awesome responsibility, we also want to share with you our philosophy of ministry when it comes to our youth. Our philosophy at Pine Valley adheres to the biblical principle that the family is the ultimate provider of spiritual nourishment in the lives of youth.

You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on
your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall
be as frontals on your forehead. And you shall teach them to your
sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk
along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up.”
Deut. 11:18, 19

It is no doubt that Timothy, who knew from childhood the sacred writings which are able to give wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus (2Tim. 3:15), was the beneficiary of this biblical principle as applied in his family by both his mother and grandmother (2Tim. 1:5).

As this principle is fulfilled in the family setting of our congregants, we at Pine Valley are committed to partnering with our parents to supplement and compliment the spiritual development and well-being of our students. This partnering is our challenge in today’s culture and requires a strong emphasis on communication, relationships and unity. For these reasons, we have put together this packet that explains our student ministries here at Pine Valley, so that you can become familiar with our class divisions, our philosophies for each and the content of what is being taught. In addition, we invite you to discuss with us any aspect of our youth department, as someone will always be available.

Again, it is an honor in all humility to be a part of the lives of your sons and daughters as God directs and accomplishes His purposes in them for His glory.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phil. 1:6

God Bless You,

Daniel P. Enright, Director of Student Ministries
